Into the glacial heart of Martelltal
The hike starts gently through forested terrain, following the river upstream past waterfalls and rocky outcrops. Rifugio Martello provides a perfect break with local cuisine before continuing toward Rifugio Nino Corsi, nestled under glacial peaks. From here, hikers can observe the edge of the Cevedale Group’s icy expanse, take photos, and enjoy one of the quietest corners of Stelvio National Park. The descent follows the same path, with wide open skies and distant alpine echoes accompanying your return.
