Do I need a guide for these hikes?
Not necessarily. All trails are well-marked and documented, but booking a guide is ideal for newcomers or special tours.
Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely! Most trails are pet-friendly. Just make sure your dog is fit and leashed where required.
Do I need to book a guided hike in advance?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially during weekends or holiday seasons. You can book directly through the website or by email.
Are there picnic spots or rest huts along the way?
Yes, many trails pass by alpine huts, benches with scenic views, or even lakeside picnic areas. Perfect for a break or snack in the wild.
When is the best time to hike in South Tyrol?
The high alpine trails are best from June to October. Lower elevation hikes can be enjoyed in spring and fall — especially for those golden larch colors in October!
What if the weather changes suddenly?
Always check the weather before starting. Sudden rain can make some sections slippery. For mountain safety, better to postpone if storms are expected.
Do I need any special gear?
A pair of proper hiking boots, layered clothing, a small backpack, and sun protection go a long way. For longer trails, trekking poles and snacks are a great idea.
How do I get to the starting point?
For groups up to 4 persons we can assure the transport. Otherwise, the meeting point shall be at the start point of the trail which shall be comunicated by us in advance.
Can I reach the hikes by public transport?
Some yes, especially those near Merano and Bolzano. We can help you plan connections if needed — just drop us a message.
Are there themed or photography hikes?
Definitely! We offer seasonal hikes for autumn colors, lakes, sunrise/sunset views, and photo-friendly routes.
